It started as a Mission...
Local tea producers are grappling with numerous challenges, compelling them to gradually forsake their fields and cultural heritage.
Factors such as the prevalence of mass-produced bottled tea prioritizing affordability over quality, the recent global pandemic, a shortage of labor, and shifts in local consumer behavior all contribute to the decline of this age-old culture.
Mohei Tea emerges as a catalyst for change, aiming to rewrite this narrative and foster a brighter future. It envisions a world where local producers and tea enthusiasts worldwide can unite, exchange, and celebrate the rich culture of Japanese tea collectively.
... then became our Vision
Our vision extends beyond the horizon of revitalizing local tea culture; we aim to become the forefront of Japanese tea on the world stage.
A hub for the most authentic teas, meticulously curated from local producers scattered across Japan, that will immerse you in the wonders, intricacies, and rich cultural tapestry of Japanese tea.
Additionally, we aim to enhance your tea experience by showcasing skillful local craftsmen fashioning exquisite kyusu and tea wares. Seeking salvation abroad, Mohei Tea will build the path for the Japanese Tea Culture to thrive again.
