Introducing our Matcha Whisk | Chasen (80-tip), an essential tool for creating the perfect bowl of matcha. Handcrafted in China, this whisk carries on the tradition that dates back to the Song dynasty. Its 80 fine tips ensure a smooth, frothy matcha with every use, making it an excellent choice for both traditional tea ceremonies and daily matcha enjoyment.

The origins of the matcha whisk trace back to the Song dynasty in China, where a similar tool was used to whip powdered tea. This tool was later brought to Japan, evolving into the chasen we know today. Our Matcha Whisk is inspired by these ancient traditions, offering an authentic matcha-making experience.

Caring

1. Soak Before Use: Soak the Chasen in warm water for 1-2 minutes before whisking matcha. This softens the tines, reducing the risk of breakage.
Note: Avoid using soap to maintain the bamboo's natural integrity.

2. Rinse After Use: Rinse the Chasen thoroughly with warm water immediately after use. This helps remove matcha residue and prevents buildup.
Tip: Use your fingers to gently dislodge any matcha powder from the tines.

3. Air Dry:
Allow the Chasen to air dry completely.Avoid storing it in a closed container to prevent mold growth.
Tip:
Stand the Chasen upright or place it on a whisk stand to help it retain its shape while drying.

4.Rest the Chasen on its stand:
Store your Chasen on a whisk stand (chasen-tate) to maintain the shape of the tines and ensure proper drying.
Tip: Do not store the Chasen in its original plastic case, as this can trap moisture and cause mold.
